The TP crested at their minority roughly 20% of the House level. That means they cannot enact anything; at best, they can tag along with the true movers and shakers, in the 80%.

And we have yet to find those capable of fixing it, with a demonstrated record of actual success behind them.

Identifying a problem is not the same as being a solution.

We have had those with solutions. They are blown off as being wackjobs by those who keep on voting for the same losers over and over.

I've seen none with reasonable solutions, and that includes the TP folks.

NONE.

TP fans, Just be content with 20% and no ability to legislate anything.

Once the fear factor that the tea party created in the GOP dissipates, I think many of the once moderate House Republicans will return to a point closer to the center. The great tea party threat of voter retribution turned out to be a pretty weak and mostly empty threat.

It's going to leave the tea party caucus left for what it really is next session- just a small bunch of extremists who no longer have the ability to scare those who are more willing to allow some compromise in the House.

The Republican party leaders know that their lack of producing anything positive at all is more toxic than anything. What the voters want most from both parties is the end to the perpetual deadlock, and their disgust with the entire system guarantees the deadlock will either end or one party will get it in the neck in November.
From now on, the effort to motivate and attract voters who are not part of either party's base will become the item that will get all the attention. There is very little the Kochs, Freedom Foundation, and all the rest of the big money boys can do about that, as they are the creators of much of the deadlock.

.
Like the Perot folks, the TP found out their ceiling was as simply a distinct minority.

It will be interesting to watch the 2014 election results. We will see which Party's objectives worked the best. The Dems will work hard a getting people out to vote(admittedly hard in midterm) and the Repubs will continue to work hard at keeping people from voting(necessary for the preservation of the Party).

If we had listened to Ron Paul years ago we could have avoided our current problems. Even liberals agree with him on a vast majority of positions, they simply can't bring themselves to support him.

I'm reading about the gnashing of teeth the liberals are now whining about over Geithner. They say he was a failure for putting the needs of Wall Street over main street. Ron Paul has always held that position.

They claim he failed for holding absolutely no one accountable for their financial shenanigans. Something Ron Paul complained about from the beginning. Where were they when all of this was happening and Ron Paul was calling for action? They were nowhere to be found.

The dems might work hard to get out the vote, but so will the GOP and no one is trying to keep anyone from voting. Some just realize there has to be a way to keep those who are not eligible to vote from voting.
