Whether or not his opponent would have been a good Senator or not, McConnell winning isn't a positive for anyone. It's funny how so many complain about the condition of the country but yet will do nothing about those who have put us into this position.

That's the truth. All the old guard needs to be dispatched. The sooner, the better.
Well, I'm not really sure if the so-called Tea Party faction lost, from an ideological or policy standpoint. The GOP Establishment has pre-empted the TP groups essentially by co-opting their positions and moving further to the right. This however, may diminish their electoral fortunes nationwide and in areas that aren't "deep red".
pknopp -- He hasn't 'won' anything but the chance to compete against Allison Grimes in November. And she is polling extremely well.
