Some funny irony as it was his catering to these lawbreakers that cost him the election.
Ironic, no?

What a drama queen! Considering that one of the top leaders of the Tea Party is Ben Carson who is black and unlike Obama, descended from slaves, that is a pretty blatant lie you're trying to spread.

Liar liar pants on fire.

So really don't forget -- Tea Party types also voted for Alan Keyes. And the Tea Party also has a hispanic leader -- Ted Cruz -- so you really might not want to try to make it about race.

Bundy said they were better off as slaves. And I'm sure Obama has ancestors who were slaves, just not slaves in the United States.

Many people have ancestors who were slaves at some point.

This post reminds me of my ex-in-laws, who are fundamentalist Christian/Tea Partiers. Within their congregation there is one black man, and at a recent church gathering every one of those oh so holy white Christians literally lined up to take a picture with him. They stood so proudly beside that black man, with their arm around him, so that they could take that picture and show it to everyone and say, "See? We aren't bigots! We have an actual black guy in our church!"

I think about that every time some right winger proudly trots out Ben Carson.

Brat's win boosts Main Street: Opposing view

Dave Brat's stunning victory on Tuesday caused widespread panic among those who make their living on Wall Street and the special-interest lobbyists on K Street, but it created an opportunity for the Republican Party to embrace a policy agenda that works for Main Street.

Brat's win boosts Main Street: Opposing view

Granted, it's very unlikely that the party overall does that. We can't expect the Dems to do it either until there is a president of an opposing party.

Your vitriol towards those who are different than you are duly noted.

We need the border secured.

I agree that we need to reform our immigration laws so they work better, and protect our national sovereignty, but I do not have confidence that any new laws will be obeyed or enforced by our government.

Obama needs to demonstrate that he can properly secure our borders, before anything else can be negotiated. The border states governors and legislators must agree that he has done this before we can have faith in him and our government.

We need to revamp our migrant worker visa laws, so they are processed quickly enough, so that a farmer can have his crops picked when they need them picked, and not so his crops are rotting in the fields because the paperwork is bogged down in Washington.

We need an E-Verify system across the country to verify that people are in our country legally, before being hired by any employer.

We also need to better define citizen birth right, so it does not include violating our immigration laws by sneaking across our border to have a child, or overstaying a visa to have a child in the USA before immigration can catch and deport you, or coming here on vacation to pop out a kid, call it an American, even though you fly back to North Korea to raise the child for the next 20 years.

Ben Carson occasionally *speaks* at places where there are Tea Party members (like CPAC) but I don't think anyone could say he 'leads' them.

Besides, they aren't a political party -- or so I've been told countless times -- so do they even need a leader?
