Ted Cruz speaks out as Mississippi's Republican civil war spreads - CSMonitor.com

I wonder what's in this for him. He's not really stupid, so I guess I'm missing something. Hard to see how feeding this fight will benefit anyone, either in the short- or long-term.

If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.

Principled and never give up, even when the rules of battle are altered during the conflict.
Fight! Don't lay down.

In the real world, sometimes you have to choose between winning and principle. Anyone who's ever worked for anyone else understands this.

So do you think that Cruz doesn't actually care about getting a presidential nomination? Maybe he doesn't, but he'll never be President unless he gets himself nominated first.

Mississippi's voting system is what it is. If a majority of R voters wants to change it - they will. But unless someone comes up with hard evidence that Cochrane or the Ds who voted for him in the primary actually committed massive skullduggery, McDaniel's loss will stand. Seems to me the smart - and Constitutionally appropriate - thing would be to let the state take the lead in investigating this. I just don't see the upside in Cruz fanning the flames.

You mean like the guy who said Cochran's campaign stiffed him for the money they promised him to provide voters for Cochran?a

Yes, working for those that elect them in this case. A voting anomaly exists. The 6800 vote win is being questioned, and as of July 3rd, they had found over 5000 votes, in just a few counties, that voted in the democrat primary.

Why is a Texas Senator sticking his nose in Mississippi voters' business?

Wasn't there just a thread, posted here by a Progressive before the holiday weekend, wondering why he hadn't spoke up on the matter.

Now we have a Progressive up tight that he did speak up when asked.....
