For those interested in this race or simply those who like watching results this one is really tight

As of now out of 34.6% of precincts in, Congressman Jack Kingston leads Businessman David Perdue by 200 votes out of the approx 250,000 counted so far (.08%). The winner will face Democrat Michelle Nunn in the Senate race to replace retiring Senator Saxby Chambliss. This is one of the two races the Democrats have been looking at as a potential pickup.

Romney won the state by about 8.5%. Not an insurmountable lead, esp. as the areas with greater population density voted Democratic. If Nunn wins, it will be a major upset.

The junior senator for the state is 69 years old. When he retires, there will be another opportunity for the Democrats.

rcp lists it properly in the toss up column. Polls are well within the margin of error.

It all comes down to turn-out yet again. Democratic GOTV efforts will make a difference.

Seems the Ga repubs didn't go with the man who lives in a gated house inside a gated neighborhood inside a gated community, you know, a true man of the repub people. That's surprising.

Yeah, they picked someone worse, a huge executive known for being CEO of Dollar General. That alone is enough to turn me off, Rep or Dem
