I am starting to see a lot of support for Alan Keyes in my area among extreme Baptist fundamentalists. I saw him on TV the other night and he literally wouldn't talk about anything other than gay marriage and abortion and how his #1 priority as President would be returning this nation to its Christian roots. Basically he is Huckabee Extra Stout, possibly taking the fringe-of-insanity wing of the religious right vote away from Huckabee. Now of course an extremist like that won't have a chance at taking the nomination, but does anybody think he will become a serious enough player to bring down Huckabee?

I hope so, that'll get feaux-conservative Huckabee out of our hair. But it is highly highly unlikely

Keyes won't make any difference to any of the other candidates. It's hard to believe he has any support at all -- he's weird.

Alan Keyes lost two Senate bids including his loss to Barack Obama in Illinois in 2004. He's a religious fruitcake.

Because he spends most of his media time complaining that he isn't getting any media time?

Well, Keyes makes a LOT of sense about the world today and its direction which I like and understand. HOWEVER, the direction he wants is more government intervention which I definitely DON'T like... He thinks the government is here to solve society's problems... How about we let society be accountable to solve its own problems... One problem in Texas is not the same problem in California... Return state powers to the states... enough of this federal corrupted bureaucracy to gouge its citizens of money and liberty. Keyes wants more of this kind of corruption in the federal government? I don't think so... Limit federal government power and you do away with a lot of the corruption in the government... are founding fathers would be pissed if they saw us the way we are now... politicians pandering to corporate interests to insure their bloodlines wealth... politicians should be ashamed..
