If the gun nutters want to blow themselves away with 900 RPM assault weapons,
it should be their right to do so according to the voters of the state.
Allow natural selection take its course.
Guns aren't being taken away even though the lunatic fringe, mouth foamers promised Obama would take them.
The democrats should of learned from the '90s not to even bring gun discussions up, unless they are for enforcing the current laws which most of us gun owner are solidly behind.
It's why I could of never and any real conservative should of never, voted for Romney. Obama probably is better for gun owners than he was, and that's sad. Sign an assault weapons ban in Massachusetts and then a few years later, join the NRA, scumbag.
Sorry, I just can't give any credence to the opinions of someone who doesn't know the difference between "of" and "have", and who feels it necessary to use terms like "mouth foamers" and "scumbag".

You are completely wrong about that. The right to keep and bear arms is in the Constitution and is for all states. The states determine all matters not covered in the Constitution (10th Amendment) which would be such things as marijuana use, speed limits, the definition of marriage, etc.

Religious rights should also be at the discretion of states, right? How about speech rights? States should be able to say yea or nay, right?
Before you start in with your "religion and speech don't kill anyone" bit, maybe you should think about it first. I bet far more people have died in the name of religion throughout the course of history than from guns.
(oh and btw, the gun in that video is a machine gun, which means it's heavily regulated by the National Firearms Act of 1934 and not at all commonly owned, nice try though )
I guess free speech doesn't cover the Internet and the 4th amendment doesn't include telephone since the founders couldn't have envisioned these advancements on technology. Your argument is exceptionally weak.
Feel free to try and amend the 2nd amendment through the process spelled out in the constitution. Of course none of the bill of rights has ever been changed, but feel free to try.
Funny you mention the other amendments, since they are frequently limited and regulated by the federal government. You aren't allowed to yell FIRE in a theater or scream obscenities on the bus. But somehow the rights supposedly contained in the second amendment according to certain interpretations are uniquely sacred.
Although maybe you think we should be allowed to shout obscenities at children in public, in which case I apologize for calling you a hypocrite.

I'm sure you would have told George Washington the same thing.

Carrying a gun in public doesn't harm others like yelling fire in a movie theater.
Waving a gun at someone is illegal, carrying a gun is not, their is a very big difference.
Sad the iron grip gun fetishists hold on the country, to the detriment of people being shot every day and school children who have to endure gun massacre drills in a supposedly-first-world country.
Sad that you can have 2 neighborhoods in Chicago with gun murder rates lower than Europe in one and 40x higher in the other just 3 miles away....and your conclusion is that the problem is guns.
The democrats are losing several senate seats this election where guns were likely a big factor. States like MT, SD (Guns were what sank Daschle in that state years back), WV.....and even states like AK and so forth which aren't "red" but who have a strong gun ownership base.
It's a hot button issue.
I remember Hillary making gun comments a couple months back and thinking "wow, she's hurting her own party by saying that prior to the midterms"....doesn't she realize that's the Senate she's going to have to work with if her plans for the presidency come to pass?

Allowing mentally handicapped people to buy guns is extremely dangerous, as numerous schoolchildren can attest on behalf of their dead chums.

You'd think a guy with "math" in his username would know better than to just throw around useless numbers with no context at all.
