The Democrats had a little known candidate in Chad Taylor that was running close to Republican Senator Pat Roberts. Taylor has decided to drop out, but there was a fairly strong candidate running s an Independent in Greg Orman who might make things really interesting in this race.

Quote:
A Democratic candidate for the Senate seat in Kansas has withdrawn from the race, paving the way for a serious third-party contender against longtime Republican Sen. Pat Roberts — and jolting Republicans’ calculus for retaking the Senate.
Chad Taylor, a little-known and underfunded candidate who won the Democratic nomination last month, told the Kansas secretary of state’s office Wednesday afternoon that he is withdrawing from the race, a spokeswoman for the office said. That move could present Roberts with a strong reelection challenge from businessman Greg Orman, an independent candidate who, according to one recent poll, led Roberts in a head-to-head matchup.

Democrats are running away from their own brand and you call it interesting? Hilarious!

There is now ZERO chance a Democrat wins the Senate seat in Kansas. Great news!

Chances are Orman caucuses with the Democrats and Orman is certainly a stronger candidate than Taylor.

Do you think he's that stupid? If he does that, he's a one term wonder in Kansas.

If he supports D positions during his race, and the voters elect him because they like his support of those positions, why would he have a problem?

Kansas voters aren't like the moonbats you're used to on the coasts and big cesspools, er cities.

Ideology wise he is a much better fit with the Democrats than the GOP. They will also likely be electing a Democratic Governor, as Brownback is in deep. Orman is being non-committal, but considering his ideology and the attacks coming from the GOP it is very likely he will caucus with the Democrats.

Well then, not to worry. He won't get elected.
