Not only is it a legitimate issue, it is an important one.

Why wouldn't you "assume" it? There's no assumption to be made...it is a fact. The exact number is 89% nationwide. That is pretty overwhelming in my book.

Excellent post. Great way to obtain numbers as close to reality as possible. All too often (like the original post) people just throw out random willy-nilly numbers out there without taking time to understand those number and how they are possibly inaccurate.

Just about every black person I know of legal voting age votes except for the few whos religion I think prohibits it (Jehovas Witness). Other than that, just about everyone I know who is black votes and only half of those choose to vote democrat.

It becomes absurd at some point the lengths people will go to to attempt to disprove a fact. You happen to know a lot of blacks of legal voting age that vote. Your personal experience accounts for about .000000000001 % of the statistic.

Just about every white person I have ever met is terminally ill (the line of work I am in), so I guess using your logic, most white people are about to die...I'd be shocked to find out otherwise despite statistics showing me most white people in America are actually less than 2 weeks away from death.

Myopia.

Your first sentence of this post is quite accurate. It even applies to your own post.
