What is good for the majority of people in this country? That should be the question our politicians ask themselves each day.
The mistake we make is continuing with proven falied policies. Voting for the staus quo gets you more of the same failures. It's never about the person, it's always about policy.

Bernie Sanders IS the status quo.

No, Hillary would be status quo. Bernie Sanders, like Elizabeth Warren, would be the opposite of status quo in the Democratic party.

There simply aren't enough progressive voters in the country to make any sort of difference in the grand scheme of things.

There aren't that many far right Tea Party Conservatives in the country, either, but they were able to ride a wave of public sentiment that pulled in a lot more than their actual numbers. With the massive and ever growing income inequality and wage stagnation in this country, it's plausible that a progressive candidate could produce a similar effect.

If nothing else, the presence of someone like Sanders in the primaries would force Democrats to deal with these issues.

For an example of just how far left the Democratic Party has swung, Sanders is not the most liberal member of the Senate. According to rating organizations such as the American Conservative Union (ACU), a few Democrat senators have more liberal voting records than Bernie.

That's not true. You know full well that the title of Most Liberal Member of the Senate is only bestowed upon whichever senator is running for President at the time.

I hope he runs. He'll do to the Democrats what Ross Perot did to the GOP in '92. Go Bernie!

Why yes, yes it is, because despite the nonsense posted on this forum, liberals are against communism just as conservatives are.
