Oh no, a candidate never has a mess up when making a speech or an introduction....I am sure no one could find a single Republican making a mistake with their words in a speech.
It sounds like some of the flubs Michelle Obama has been making herself campaigning for others.
Be honest: there are mistakes and then there are mistakes. Claiming he is a 5th generation isn't a mistake, it is a lie. There is a huge difference. The first comment can be considered a mistake...
I didn't hear the speeches, couldn't figure out why Udall wanted anyone from the Obama family campaigning for him anyway. But wasn't it Michelle Obama who said Udall was 5th gen, not Udall himself?

you could be right: If she did: holy cow, she obviously didn't do her homework.
Sheesh. So many posters are calling this a gaffe or mistake when it is simply the truth.

He didn't mess up. He said what he and other liberals actually believe.
Ten years ago, I would have argued with you about that. Of course, not all of them think in terms of color, but sadly a great many do. It tends to catch me off guard, but oh well.
