Default If you could have anybody you wanted for President, who would you choose?

The person would have to be someone born in the United States or born a United States citizen, because "thems the rules."

Jokes are welcome, but let's keep it nice, please.

I am just wondering if some of you may have a good idea that the rest of us have not thought about yet.

The only requirement for this person is that they have to be over 35 (if I remember correctly) and born in the United States. It does not have to be someone who is running for president, but it can be.

Right now?

Considering world affairs?

Joe Biden for President
John Edwards for Vice

Why not Hillary or Obama for vice? Neither one of them knows how to play second banana. The rest of the dem candidates are not qualified for either position.

I have to say Ron Paul, but I doubt if he's going to get the support to win the nomination.

I'd vote for a member of the Walton family as president. After all, seemingly 1/3 of the nation works for them anyways and taxpayers have to subsidize many of those employees' childrens' basic needs due to their low wages, so why not have them "give back" to the country for a change by giving them a chance at domestic and foreign policy? They seem to be creative with their innovative "big-box behind a massive sheet of asphalt" facility designs, and many folks in the South love them, and as we've seen with how President Bush has turned out folks that Southerners push for turn out to be great presidents. They could throw all of those feuding Palestinians into a sweat shop crafting knock-off DVDs, and centuries of conflict with the Israelis will be resolved.

I'd pick Gore Vidal or Ralph Nader. Gore has the political wisdom and experience to lead and inspire others to lead themselves. Ralph has the undying will to serve the greater good despite the threats from the corporations. I'd also pick myself because I'd kick ass to expose corruption and reveal the truth, however ugly it is. I can't think of anyone else in the public eye who I trust enough to lead. Of course, when the crap hits the fan, the real leaders among us will become evident. They are everywhere.
