No automatic recount law in Virginia. The loser would have to request it.
It's so close that I would imagine he would call for a recount.

I am sure you will all be shocked to learn the MSNBC has already called this for Warner.

Ah yes, the absentee ballots for military are likely to be significant in a race this close.

Will the newly installed republican Senate caucus vote for their leader or in Mitch automatic/imposed on them without any say?

I don't get that. They wait and wait and wait to call something that EVERYONE else has called and is obvious but call VA for Warner when it's super close and without the absentee ballots counted yet? That seems premature of MSNBC.

And in Virginia, the military can be a big block. Only 12000 vote separation, about 0.61%

I think they vote but Mitch will probably be elected. No one will come out for awhile looking to take the position from him.

Got to be a huge power shuffle behind the scenes.

The landscape is improving. It's time for us to initiate even more change.
Not really, it seems like the Senators are not the Tea Party conservatives from four years ago and two years ago. The congressional districts for the house are a bit different and there are several conservatives in gerrymandered districts just like liberals like Pelosi in their districts.

Maybe time for the party to kick in some support for a recount.
