Mia Love Defeats Doug Owens In 2014 Utah Election

She is the first black woman Republican elected to congress. So much for the GOP being a bunch of racist people who only elect white men, eh?

I think she could potentially run for president in the future. Watch out for her.

wake me up when a quarter of the GOP is non white. 1 person doesn't mean anything, although I am glad she won as well. GOP needs to be less white. any non white winning means one less white male, which is fine with me.

Stop your hate of white people, especially white men.

I agree; I can see Mia Love possibly running for president one day. I see her as having a lot in common with Ronald Reagan. She has a solid grounding in libertarian/free market economics like RR. And she has the theatre background that makes her a great communicator. She is a wonderful orator.

She's only 38 so in 20 years I could easily see her as POTUS. With luck I will still be around to see it happen.

i dont hate anyone. i dont think government should be as white as it is in 2014. white males like yourself may feel threatened by that which is why you are so defensive.

the GOP being as white as it is now is no good. gop leadership even knows that.

its the GOP white base such as yourself who is against the influx of minorities into the party. more minorities, naturally means less whites, which makes whites such as yourself angry. your angry that the GOP is trying to specifically recruit hispanics and blacks, which is why you attacked my post. you dont want it, even though your party's leadership is actively pursuing it.

The Republicans only elected Mia Love so that she could be a stealth fighter in waging wars against women and blacks!

Congratulations to new Republican senator from South Carolina Tim Scott, also, who became the first African-American senator to win an election in the South since Reconstruction!

I agree with you on the GOP needing to be less white. Just not as a result of formulas, rather naturally. As to your hatred, bitterness and generally depressed view of the world; I will pray for your healing. No person deserves to live in a self-imposed jail.

In 2008 & 2012, more black people voted than did with folk.
