President Obama commits suicide!

Back when he signed the ACA, with only partisan support.

Ever since then, he has lost more & more support for his agenda and the way he has worked it around congress.

Political suicide has played out in the nation.
First the House and now the Senate.
A loss of 70+ seats in congress.

A loss of 70 party seats in congress.....

Not since Truman, has any President lost that many seats for his party.

Too bad though that it took something like the ACA (to even exist) for this to happen.

Of course I love that seat loss and wished it was even more so, oh well.

Protecting our liberties, is no longer the job of the federal Government.

That has been placed once again, in the hands of the people.

What are you talking about, Obama won his reelection after getting ACA signed and put into law. I wouldn't be too concerned, the Republicans will still need to work with the Democrats to get the needed 60 votes in Congress, if anything this will put the Republicans on display for the next two years. Maybe that will work in their favor like it did the Democrats during the last two years of Bush's 2nd term, or maybe it will work against them. Only time and the actions of the Republicans will tell that future.

Good thread; No doubt that President Barack Obama is one smart cookie. He proved it time after time, especially when he won reelection in 2012 despite a moribund economy. James Carville said it: "it's the economy, stupid" but Pres Obama used racial division to circumvent that rule in 2012.

But he made a huge blunder in March 2010 when he signed landmark, sea-change legislation with zero bi-partisan input or support. Neither FDR nor LBJ were dumb enough to force through sea-change legislation without some bi-partisan support. BHO was, and that will be his legacy. Too bad. A lot of us, even Republicans, had high hopes for him in early 2009.
