I would say the results of last mid term say exactly the opposite of what Op thinks. democrats loss badly because low democratic turn out and independents want change from results they saw.Republicans gaining largest majority in House since 1947 tells the real tale.
Yeah, and then promptly proceeded to blow it. Twice. First when they gave Obama his cronybus (couldn't do it fast enuf, lol) and then when they got another boner.
The will happily elect a Hillary Clinton or an Elizabeth Warren .... just as they did Obama.
They do have a point about John Boehner and Mitch McConnell -- they have been in power now for 2 whole days and have not complete their DEMAND INSTANTLY list.
Aw heck, it's not necessary to elect Clinton or Warren, the republicans in power will happily deliver everything the Democrats want. Doing a swell job so far, too.

I doubt it. No elected official likes to lose their seat. I'm just saying what difference does it make when the opposing party will deliver what you want anyway.

Maybe both parties should consider what the people want a little more?
Actually, one of the reasons Republicans did so well in the 2014 mid-terms is because they ran more credible, mainstream candidates rather than fringe Tea Partiers.
By all means - please nominate a conservative ideologue to oppose Hilary. It will be difficult for Republicans to beat her, regardless of who their candidate is. If their candidate is an arch conservative she'll win in a landslide.
