Ok. I won't call my marriage a "traditional marriage" I will just call it a marriage.
Legally marriage is just a contract, what ever religious, or personal meaning a couple attach to their personal relationship is their and theirs alone.
As for the civil union vs marriage thing, no one owns the word marriage. So I can call my legal civil marriage what ever I choose.

There are a number of people attempting to hijack this thread. This is about Mitt Romney's decision not to run in 2016.

It is NOT about same sex marriage, homosexuality, equal rights for gays or debate about whether they were born that way. We've had quite enough of those topics, so if you want to discuss that, find the latest thread and go at it. Seems some of you are so rabid about the subject you have to turn everything in that direction.
Give it a rest.

Let's get back to Mitt, if there's more to be said about it.

The real story that was Mitt was going to run at all. Had he done so, he would have washed out in the early stages. Mitt's day has passed. It's time for him to get a new hobby,

Running for the presidency is a hobby?

Correct, veneficus. Dems Blue Wall plus new members Va and NM get you within one swing state of the WH.

The itty bitty Red Wall leaves the GOP still needing about 90-100 electoral votes, and pretty much having to run the table.

All the Dems need to do, literally, is to spend time and money in every swing state, and the GOP is powerless to counter that, realistically. If we view , as we should, true swing states as being 50/50 coin tosses, odds of winning any 1 is 50%. Odds of going 10 for 10 is 2 to the tenth power or 1 in 1,024.

The president is an election for a person, not a party.

I know pretending otherwise makes you feel good, but that doesn't make it true.

It is for some people. I'm happy to see Mitt isn't going to make it his.

bobtn thinks that everyone who's ever voted Democrat will always vote Democrat no matter what happens, so long as it's a Presidential year. I give folks more credit, even Democrats.

Bwa-hah-hah-hah-hah! He got the Ross Perot treatment.

I note that he mentioned stepping aside for a "newcomer". Hmm. JEB! is not exactly a "newcomer", but then again, he is for a Presidential run. Nonetheless, Romney didn't exactly endorse him or throw his support behind him.

This is an interesting article, not because of "bad behavior", but because most people contacted for the article clammed up tighter than a tick.
