We need to end the American Empire. We are in 130 countries and have 500,000 troops overseas. Why the heck are we doing this? Why are we trying to be the world's police man? We barely have a free country here.

It has gotten out of hand. So much so we have ignored our own country. We are so busy butting into other countries business we have ignored our own. It is always a "my you know what is bigger than yours" and " we know whats best for you" policy.

I have talked about this topic with people I know and they got angry with me and they actually gave me the same line said during the Vietnam War "Love it or leave it."

I love this country. I want to get it back.

George Bush even made the analogy between Iraq and Vietnam. 60,000 Americans died in Vietnam along with countless Vietnamese. Now we trade with them and are friendly with them.

What was the purpose?

I am a child of the sixties & I believe we never learned anything from Viet Nam, a total fiasco . I think it was George Santayana who said that those who can not remember the past are condemned to repeat it. And that , sadly, is us .

Seeing as how you have your numbers wrong, I haven't read a fact yet from you -- only rather puerile and pedestrian opinions.
