Educate yourself. You can start with Woodrow Wilson and his "What is Progress?" speech. Wilson was the first to claim that the Constitution is a "living document," and this was based on his "Progressive" ideology (which was imported from Europe).
"Progressivism" is Marxist/socialism. It is an ideology.
The birther crowd already is raising a stink about Cruz's eligibility and they aren't going to stop. If they admit Cruz is eligible they would have to also admit Obama is a legitimate president, and for birthers that is a bridge too far. I would enjoy watching the right get caught in their own birther net. That would be icing on the cake of a crushing Cruz defeat.
That ship has already sailed. Constitutional attorneys have already weighed in and said that since his mother was a U.S. citizen, he qualifies as a "natural born" citizen. End of discussion.
It's too bad Cruz has no chance to be the GOP Nominee. It would be hilarious if he were to be "the one" for the Rs.
Yeah then true conservatives would have to use other logic to explain why Romney lost in 2012. Think of it this way, of about 68 million voters in 1960 about half were Republicans voting for Nixon. In 1964 however Goldwater only had under 38% of the vote for 70 million voters. Something tells me, not all the republican base voted where was an R...
George Romney's parents fled the United States to escape our anti-polygamy laws. There's a difference between a resident alien who is working abroad and someone who sought refuge in a foreign country to avoid prosecution.
I don't care if Ted Cruz was born in Canada. He has spent most of his life in the United States and his mother was an American citizen when he was born.
Obama was actually born in the United States. Still, even if he wasn't, his mother was an American citizen, born in Kansas. So what's the difference? How can the Right Wing say Cruz is eligible but Obama is not?
I don't know if I should call this blatant hypocrisy or outright racism.
While I agree with you as to the eligibility of both Obama and Cruz to be president based on their mother's U.S. citizenship calling it racism in regards to Obama is ridiculous. That card has been way overplayed and does not fit the sentiments of most conservatives.
As though it is impossible for a person, especially one of Ted Cruz' caliber, to speak extemporaneously about something he is passionate about? It's called, able to 'think on ones feet'.
Ted Cruz is an attorney who has argued cases before the Supreme Court. His speaking skills have been well learned. This is a skill also exhibited by Trey Gowdy of South Carolina.
Your criticism is simply sour grapes, because you don't like Ted Cruz' politics.
They're just upset because in comparison their messiah O needs a teleprompter, lest we hear "uh" almost every other word.
The Democrat's candidate appears to be a worn-out old woman with health problems, an entitlement complex, a prickly personality, and more baggage than a Samsonite factory.
They're just upset because in comparison their messiah O needs a teleprompter, lest we hear "uh" almost every other word.
Hey, to be honest... Ted does stutter every now and then, getting his thought.
But it is his thought. He isn't reading someone elses rhetoric. It is his rhetoric.
Imagine a man who loves to talk about............himself and has done it so often, he doesn't need a teleprompter.
Sounded like an infomercial.
???? He talked about his family and the issues facing young Christians in the world today.
No need for a teleprompter for that. That is easy for him.
I have not really heard him talking about himself, unless asked by the media.
Not like Obama, where in casual conversation, "I" is said a dozen times in 5 minutes.
