I disagree with the bolded statement. A 2 month time period allows little time to understand the candidate and their positions. Dangerous precedent.

Not really, most people only pay attention to about 2 months of an election, what we have in the US is nothing more than an election saturation that does nothing good for the country.

Candidates have already been selected by their parties, have been in the news, and their platforms are known. They aren't unknowns who suddenly spring up 2 months before an election.

I have to agree with you on this point. How do we fix this? Eliminate Citizens United? I really have no clue, frankly.

The Cruz "presidential campaign" will prove to be most amusing.

Which side will be more suicidal, politically speaking?

Will Rafael Cruz heap more scorn on his Pub brethren or will they reveal some juicy as yet unknown detail about the Cuban Canadian?

The nearest thing to debating Clinton that you may see is Cruz ranting from the floor while attempting to forestall President Clinton's legislative agenda.

I'm guessing either the Koch brothers are waiting or are starting to fund Cruz with their PAC support.
