I have gotten used to America making the wrong choices for our Country. That is why I am sure he will be the Next President. I felt this way about Bush and I was right so I feel pretty confident I am right now.

People are easily clouded by inspiring words. Would you hire a teenage boy to do your taxes because he gives an eloquent speech about freedom and democracy? Does that mean this boy who studied well in his history class is going to balance a national budget without advanced business classes?

People are so caught up in flowers and balloons they forget to polish their guns.

We can only pray to God he will be the next president. The others do not hold a candle to him on substance, policy or presentation.

LOL sorry Kev. I was a little too subtle with my tongue in cheek approach. I think he will make mistakes as our commander in chief and is not the right choice for America.

Funny to tell you, I actually am leaning Dem just not with Obama. I just think he says alot of happy inspiring empty words. I don't think he has the experience to carry the country once he gets in there.

I agree that Obama is using flowery speeches and glittering generalities to get elected. That's usually what works in this country at least. Having said that, I think Obama is one of the three or four best of the current field of candidates. That's not a hard distinction to achieve, considering that all the Republicans other than Ron Paul are the American equivalent of jihadists, that Hillary Clinton and her spouse are cheap crooks and that John Edwards sounds like he ought to be leading a revival meeting in a tent, but it's still something.

LOL About John Edwards. Yes, I can see him as a Boy Scout Camp Counselor telling his scouts how to identify bear tracks to avoid getting mauled.

I think Kev got what you were saying...he was just making a positive response.

Why should Obama be criticized for being an excellent orator? I believe there is substance behind his words. Of course, only time will tell, but that is true about anything that is yet to happen in the future.

I can see your point but I was trying to convey the idea that I believe Obama is more talk than sheer ability to do the job.

Well, he hasn't been tried...so it is hard to defend the position that he can do the job as president. The thing is, is anyone really "ready" to be president until they are elected (in Bush's case, not elected) into the position? There has been a lot of "on the job training" for every president I'm sure. Look at Bill Clinton's first few years...
