But, despite the outrageous fearmongering, and outright deception (the right CONTINUOUSLY trying to blame him for the Great Recession), we are definitely better off than we were 6 years ago, and given the massive scale of the recession, it is actually impressive.

Even by Reagan's logic, he has done pretty well.
This.

People have to be living in a fantasy world to not be able to admit things are better now than they were in 2008. No amount of propaganda from Glenn Beck or Fox News can change that.

Okay, average household income is down by roughly $000.00 per household, better?

Citizens are forced to buy into government health care whether they want it or not, better?

Illegal aliens are crossing the borders with orders to border patrol to ignore their illegal actions, better?

We are in the process of giving Iran the nuclear bomb, better?

Who is living in denial about these things, those who claim everything is better.

They accomplished a lot more than that, but those are the two biggest pieces of legislation. In fact, the 111th Congress has been called the most productive session in over half a century. They rescued two automakers, passed sweeping financial reform regulations, overhauled the federal student loan system, confirmed two Supreme Court nominees, passed first responders legislation, expanded the CHIP program to include four million at-risk children, and passed legislation to regulate abusive credit card company practices, among other things. And they did it all in the face of stiff GOP opposition. I'd say that's pretty impressive. And it flies in the face of your BS claim that his own party wasn't behind him.

Meanwhile, what landmark legislation has the GOP worked on since they've held the majority in both houses? Well, they immediately tried to push through an abortion bill that even the women in their own caucus found too oppressive and refused to support. Next, they tried to hold up a major funding bill by attaching an immigration rider. Oops, that, too, went down in flames.

They are off to a great start. I can't wait to see what they have in store to fail at spectacularly next.

The uninsured rate is lower than it ever was under GWB. Americans with pre-existing conditions can no longer be denied coverage. Damn right those are a good things. Premiums increased at the lowest rate in ages in 2014.

Illegal immigration was higher under GWB and St. Ronnie. Spare me the phony outrage.

Wages for the working/middle classes are among the last things to recover from a deep recession, but they've been climbing for a few years new.

Yawning @ the fear mongering over Iran. The only real way to stop them from developing the bomb is to declare war on them. Is that what conservatives are clamoring for?

Obama = fixing the Great Republican Disaster of 2001-2008. He's looking better and better by the minute.

Just because Obama came after Bush doesn't make him a great president or anyone worth being written about in history books. Any president (of any party) after Bush would have cleaned up Bush's mess. It would have been near impossible to be as bad as Bush and keep the nation going in a downward economic spiral. Obama hasn't done anything worth talking about... except maybe kill Osama.

Wrong.. what you cant admit is that things are better now and its not because of Obama, its due to economic cycles which have taken place for thousands of years.

no amount of ignorance will change historic patters beyond your control.

Oh please.. TARP was passed by Bush which rescued auto makers, overhauled the federal loan system by simply taking them over isnt an accomplishment, neither is confirming supreme court nominees. Exapnded CHIP to 4 million children, and yet the uninsured still climbed, credit card company practices really havent changed at all, blah blah blah blah...

Ahhh poor baby, they are holding up immigrants wwwaaaaaa waaaaa...

I DONT CARE, in fact I EXPECT them to do that.. Yeah, they are off to a great start, the more they do to stop Obama passing POS legislation like above, the happier I am..

Federal spending is down about $200 billion over the last few years, you left wing kooks shouted for years, you cant cut federal spending, that'll crash the economy..

You were WRONG as always.. Just like you now dont give a crap about the 35 million uninsured, even though we needed to pass ACA to insure 32 million people.

The economic crash stopped taking place and started reversing itself before Obamas stimulus bill even started being funded. They though would like to run around proclaiming this saved the nation, because more and more spending is good, and less spending is bad..

We have spending levels falling, the economy is picking up, and the economy was growing before the spending even increased.

They are trying to take credit for stuff that didnt even happen yet in hindsight because they can, not because its the truth. Look at above, with them trying to take credit for bailing out the automobile industry, which actually took place through TARP, passed by Bush.

Adding millions to medicaid would of course drop the uninsured rate but that was never the proposal put forward by Obama. The goal was to get people PAYING into the system thus reducing the cost overall.

The CBO last report actually says ACA will benefit about 2 million less individuals than their previous report, just a few months ago, but reduce the projected deficit spending by about $280 billion, only spending $1.71 trillion.

Thats $140,000 PER INDIVIDUAL over a decade of taxpayer money, for a plan that has yearly subsidies growing over 50% over the next 10 years, which pretty much disputes any such reduction in cost Democrats keep saying will happen
