Succesor to the biggest failure in administration in US history, and plaged by a dysfunctional and incompetent congress, Barack has brought this country from the precipice of financial ruin to an enviable financial situtation, from the worst real estate in history, to a healthy and vigorous real estate, from almost 10% unemployment to 5%, biggest increase in manufacturing jobs in decades, fastest declining deficit in history, took us out of the needless, non sense war in Iraq, has kept our sons from unnecessary peril, USA has regained a lot of the respect lost during bush jr years, with our nobel laurate president. And yes, there is lot of stuff going on around the world, like the crisis in ukraine, ISIS, human right abuses etc. but we can not be the police of the world. I beleive his administration has been to almost FDR levels, and history will remember him as such.

Agree with the FDR comparison. Both personable and both complete economic failures.

Well said. The facts verify all that you said, no matter who ignores them. Unfortunately the Presidents yet to come will be a long time undoing the damage Globally that the previous Administration has done. If we can keep the War Hawks out of office, cut Military expenditures, and quit meddling in foreign affairs that we have no business in, like the Ukraine, we will make the world a better place. Good post.

Welcome to C-D, ObamaBot and OFA volunteer!

I notice you didn't mention our nearly $18 Trillion debt (up from 10.7 T when Bush left office), almost half the Labor Force unemployed, meaning the actual unemployment rate is closer to 10% (if not greater).

The threat from Islamic terrorism is far greater than in December 2008, the Middle East situation is a disaster because of Barrack Obama's failed foreign policy (or lack of policy).

Americans have less disposable income largely because of working hours being cut, and health insurance costs skyrocketing (thanks to the ACA).

Your entire post is a collage of lies, clichés, and propaganda. But don't worry. We're used to having your kind around. We know what your going to say even before you say it, your rhetoric and propaganda is so predictable.

The hooligans will arrive very soon..bet on it.

But, despite the outrageous fearmongering, and outright deception (the right CONTINUOUSLY trying to blame him for the Great Recession), we are definitely better off than we were 6 years ago, and given the massive scale of the recession, it is actually impressive.

Even by Reagan's logic, he has done pretty well.

we will soon be but a memory in world history, a brief flicker of the candle of hope for mankind, Liberty lost forever, a return to the darkest days of human history.

Your opinion and I guess history will ultimately judge. I find faults with him, mainly on foreign policy. But I don't see him as the worst, his predecessor is another story though.

Nah not going down as a great President. Not going to be a goat either. More a victim of the times though he made a hash of some things.

Big deal is he got us through the economic downturn without a depression. And he has some good points like vastly reducing the military role and Obamacare...which ends up a significant change in direction regardless of what the right wishes.

Loses points for some weird things like "Keep your plan" which he rode past all good sense.

And he did not come anywhere near his promises on things like transparency...

So mixed story. Some good some bad. Won't be held up as an example of a great President. But will fare far better than GW or Carter.
