To win in 2016, Republicans have to pretty well run the table and win every single swing state. Democrats only have to win one or two.

As for the 2014 elections- the old/white/racist Teabilly base is spread out across a whole bunch of smalls impoverished red states, whereas lots of Democrats are concentrated in modern and prosperous urban areas. Republicans have a very clear advantage in the senate due to how the legislative body is structured and how the Teabilly population is distributed. And still Republicans barely pulled it off.

Republicans have a distinct advantage in the House due to donblatant gerrymandering. Their strategy of focusing on corrupt podunk state legislatures has paid off.

So Let Me Be Clear: Repugs will remain a force to be reckoned with in state politics, and in the U.S. Congress. But Repugs will NOT win another presidential election for a long, long time.

Sorry if that wasn't simple and soundbytey enough for ya
Gee, a phrase right from the leader of your party: Let me be clear" how original is that?

There is a lot more to the facts of how many years this and that has happened. Many of those 24 years we were dealing with a sitting President. It is easy to quote stats or read charts, but it takes the ability to be able to think a fact though to really get an answer.Obviously you are choosing just to look at the stats, nothing more. As for the gerrymandering, it works both ways, just look at a couple of districts in Florida if you don't believe me. Ir always amazes me when people think puting other people down and calling groups, or people names they are getting their point across, when what they are really doing is showing how they think like kids in elementary school. yo
BTW: that one of the front runners saying racial descrimination is ok in the private sector, was taken out of context and he is not really what most would call a front runner. He just happened to be the second candidate to announce. He doesn't represent everything we, as Republicans starnd for. I doubt your choice for President represents eveything you stand for, or I hope you aren't that blind sighted?

Third, the comprehensive immigration reform we are talking about concerns the 11 million people already here and have been here for 10, even 20 years. It's called the shadow population and they are already a working part of our society.
Nobody but ideologues who parrot right wing scare tactics are saying that immigration reform means we open our borders to all barefoot south americans who want to come here.
That's right wing, hate propaganda.
Yeah hate, hate, scare blah blah scare hate. How do you know that illegal immigration is at its lowest levels? How can you keep track of such a thing?
So left-wing Democrats are suddenly going to become hard-liners on immigration who will hunt down and deport every illegal alien who isn't one of these 11 million? That's not going to happen. In a decade or so there will be another "shadow population" who will need their own "reform" bill.
And that doesn't change the fact that we've been hearing this nonsense for years now. "You have to give amnesty to illegal aliens if you want to win an election in this country!" Lunacy. Is there any precedent for such a thing in human history?

Racist racist blah blah, racist racist teabilly blah. I think that you people get actual sexual pleasure from accusing white people of racism. That's the only other activity I can think of that people can do with such regularity without getting tired of it.
All you have is conjecture, platitudes and wishful thinking. And that was nothing but one long simplistic "soundbyte."

Here are some irrefutable facts, with links to verify the accuracy of them. Put on your blinders so you don't have to accept the facts. For some, truth hurts.

Moving beyond illegal immigration enforcement policies - The Washington Post

Today, the federal government spends more on its immigration enforcement agencies than on all its other principal criminal law enforcement agencies combined. Spending for Customs and Border Protection, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and US-VISIT reached nearly $18 billion in fiscal 2012. Contrast that with the $14.4 billion spent for the FBI, Drug Enforcement Administration, Secret Service, U.S. Marshals Service and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Customs and Border Protection and Immigration and Customs Enforcement refer more cases for federal prosecution than all the Justice Department law enforcement agencies combined, including the FBI, DEA and ATF.
Imperatives for border control have led to record highs in Border Patrol staffing, technology and infrastructure. At the same time, apprehensions have fallen to 40-year lows — 340,252 in 2011, down from more than 1.6 million in fiscal 2000.
After the 1986 reforms, growth of the resident unauthorized population resumed and increased to levels of about 525,000 annually. But that began to change in 2007, and there has been a negative flow since.

Does anyone still wonder why Both Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton are making comprehensive immigration reform one of the keystone elements of their campaign?

I still don't know how you can count how many illegal aliens there are in the country. And I certainly wonder why Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton are pushing for amnesty. A couple of rich folks giving the middle finger to the working class and poor. How nice.

The whole country has been "historically racist", turkey-head. Here in Pittsburgh, the city government which has been run by liberal democrats since the early 1930's, was just found guilty of racism in the police department personnel office and was nailed for 1.6 big ones.

Jokesters and humorists of all political persuasions have always poked fun at our presidents, regardless of their race. If the laugh experts ignored Obama and didn't pay him any mind, wouldn't that be a better sign of racism? That he isn't one of the guys, so we can't risk "offense" as we don't know what he would do, not being one of us?

We are all aware that amnesty disguised as "reform" is about the millions of illegals already here. Nothing is being reformed so why is it called that? It will still be against the law to come here illegally. It doesn't matter whether or not there are fewer illegals crossing our border today. As I said, it is about the millions that are already here. We don't need these people nor should we reward them. Americans need the jobs they are holding.

Who has said that this amnesty means opening up the borders? But by granting it, it will encourage more to come. When does it end? Yeah right, our borders will be secured. Anyone who believes that is an idiot. That's what we were told back in 1986. Fool me once.... Doesn't matter anyway. These illegals need to go back home where they belong. Scare tactics? WTH does that mean? Hate propaganda? Since when are the above concerns and views based on hate? If anyone are haters in all of this it's illegal aliens who have no regards for our own citizens and their ethnocentric, racist supporters.

I don't even reply to the hate filled poster that you are replying to. How funny that he stereotypes all white conservatives with nasty labels and accuses them of racism when he can't even see the racism in his own posts. What a hypocrite! Oh and didn't you know that opposing amnesty because it hurts our own citizens is being a racist? What an idiot!
