I'm not a huge fan of Christie but the one thing he's got going for him is that he's an East Coast Republican, which means he's not crazy, like most of the rest of the GOP field. Politically, he's a moderate, which has become something of a rare breed in today's GOP. If we were to get stuck with a Republican in the White House Christie is about as good as it gets for Democrats.

He's a thousand times better than Jeb, whose actions in the Terri Schiavo fiasco showed that not only is he a closet religious zealot, but he is not above using his power to push his religious beliefs, and has no qualms about trampling people's rights and going outside the law to get his way.

I would take a Christie presidency over a Bush presidency any day.

He has pretty much no chance at winning the GOP nomination much less winning a Presidential election. He looks like he belongs in the cast of the Sopranos, doesn't look Presedential at all. He doesn't seem genuine, gets flustered easily, he's just not likeable in any way. He actually makes Jeb Bush seem totally likeable.

When it comes to Republicans, my standard is very low. I want someone who isn't a lunatic. That pretty much eliminates all but a few. Christie is one of them.

He looks more presidential than most of the Republican candidates other than maybe Jeb. My ideal Republican vs. Democrat nominee in 2016 is Christie and Sanders. Doubt that will happen but I can hold out hope for at least one...
