I voted for Sanders in the Primary but even as a Senior myself, I think he is too old to be thinking of running again in 2020. Pass the torch on to someone with similar views in their 40's, 50's, or even 60's.

Remember there was 2 parts, one was the electoral & the other is the Movement Formerly Known As the Sanderistas.
The latter has & can continue whether inside or outside of the mainstream establishment, political or otherwise.
Look at the number of states the Movement Sanderistas won & even when they lost they did not do too shabby in some districts, this was done with against incredible odds & virtual nil establishment support (on, or offline).
Quite impressive.
The Movement, its elders & up and coming generations have just got to keep it together.
As I've been saying the Movement Formerly Known As the Sanderistas was never about one man or one election.
And again there is nothing wrong with organizations and/or institutions that trace their ancestry or inspiration from the Movement whether inside or outside of the political sphere. Just want to re-emphasis that just because groups or individuals emerge that doesn't mean the Movement should automatically stop & disappear.
So yes its important especially for youth like college students as well as old school veterans from the movements of the 60's & 70's that are still young at heart to form their own organizations like in media, especially nowadays.
The propagandists of the post-racial utopia did a heck of a cover-up but the Movement should not be deterred.
From the underground, abolitionist movement which grew out of the cultural milieu of the regional cultures of New England & the northern MidWest; to the Wobblies which likewise grew out of the regional cultural milieu of the northern MidWest; to the Socialists & so-called "anarchists" that were purported to be "suspect & dangerous persons" & un-American by the "American Party" in the late 1800s; the Movement has rich historical & cultural traditions to draw upon if it so chooses (AND YES DESPITE WHAT THE MAINSTREAM SAYS THOSE WERE JUST AS PART OF THE US AS MASSAH & THE PLANTATION, WHO MANY IN THE GLOBALIST PLANTATION SYSTEM SEE AS THEIR TRUE FOUNDERS ).
By the way, its Congress that determines the number of judges on the Supreme Court, whether that's an even number like it was originally or an odd like it has been in recent decades.
The Movement Formerly Known As The Sanderistas have talked long about the failures of globalist plantation capitalism & the identity politics that it feeds upon.
This is not only playing out at the southern border but also across the pond in the North Atlantic area.
While some magically think the problems will go away with funds for bombs, bullets & ballistics, those that have brushed off the mainstream media attacks & slurs about being reds, also don't mind bringing up the obvious need to reclaim and purge the word welfare from its stigma that has been heaped upon particularly over the last 30 years or so.
The mainstream media refuses to acknowledge that yes capitalism has produced failed states & societies & that welfare for education, health care & food as well as other social programs may be necessary especially for women, children & the elderly & those with ailments. Funds diverted from bread, bowls & ball toward bullets, bombs & ballistics probably would only exacerbate current problems.

About 150,000 tons of food is tossed out in US households each day, equivalent to about a third of the daily calories that each American consumes. Fruit and vegetables were the most likely to be thrown out, followed by dairy and then meat.
This waste has an environmental toll, with the volume of discarded food equivalent to the yearly use of 30m acres of land, 780m pounds of pesticide and 4.2tn gallons of irrigated water. Rotting food also clogs up landfills and releases methane, a powerful greenhouse gas.
Each year, about 40 percent of all food in the United States goes uneaten. It's just tossed out or left to rot. And that's a fairly large waste of resources. All that freshwater and land, all that fertilizer and energy — for nothing. By one recent estimate, Americans are squandering the equivalent of $165 billion each year by rubbishing so much food.
These funds could instead be used not only for the gramps & ailing poor across the pond but also for the U.S. transportation industry.

The companies both seem to recognize the importance of physical books to consumers, despite the heralded arrival of the e-book many years ago. Even bookstores without such corporate clout are sticking it out: earlier this month, Publishers Weekly reported that independent bookstores it surveyed (creating an admittedly tiny sample size) had seen sales increases.
One by one, America's once-grand bowling alleys are shutting down, raising the question about whether bowling is in its final frames.
In Muskegon, where bowling-equipment maker Brunswick has a factory, the company's presence over the years has been shrinking. Last year, Brunswick sold its bowling center division to New York-based Bowlmor AMF for $270 million.
Funds could used for camps as in sports camp for the WNBA, a bowling (not to mention Midwest manufacturing) renaissance, perhaps even a women's baseball league for disadvantaged youth.
Even left leaning Libertarians from New Hampshire, Oregon & Portland understand that the Constitution controls the purse strings & it does say that body should take general welfare into account (as well as under no circumstance would one religious system be granted any special favors or any that espouse such sentiments).
So despite what the mainstream says, plantation capitalism has created failures & welfare aid is not un-American & bread, balls & bowls sometimes can do a better job than bullets, bombs & ballistics.
Well, I did it again. I saw the title 'So Sanders is interested in a political" and thought Sarah was going to run for some political office. Well, maybe someday.
Actually he did win, or at least won a greater number of young people than the other 2 combined.

But this fact might say it better than any: In the 2016 campaign, Sanders won more votes among those under age 30 than the two presumptive major-party presidential nominees combined.
In a foreword, Sanders points out that, in his campaign for president, he received more votes from young people than Donald Trump’s and Hilary Clinton’s combined, and that “in virtually every state primary and caucus, we won the overwhelming majority of young people – black, white, Latino, Asian American, and Native American”.
The up & coming generations are going to have to a moment of truth especially about the so-called global post-racial plantation utopia, for centuries this has been a sacred & sacrosanct part of identity at least for previous (& to a significant extent, current) generations.
They have to realize that the Progressive Movement that grew out of the regional Midwestern cultural milieu (similarly to what the Abolitionist & Wobbly movements emerged out of) is just as much a part of American cultural heritage. Nowadays especially so.
And like I mentioned before in regards to AID & TRADE, across the northern Atlantic pond, the same applies to the southern border in regards to how welfare has become a four letter word as well as a slur and a stigma.
Welfare may be necessary, despite what the dogma & propaganda of the last 30 years promotes, even if it means safe spaces for drug users.
Quote:
Sanchez said the newcomers were also exploring decriminalizing marijuana for recreational use, saying it no longer made sense for Mexican authorities to engage in a violent struggle against the drug when Canada and several U.S. states had adopted more lenient policies.
Sanchez said any such move would be in parallel to rehabilitation programs and strict punishments for anyone who sold drugs to children.
But he folded like a wet towel when Hillary called him to a meeting after which he told people to vote for Hillary. That's not a revolutionary. Sanders is not a socialist either, he is very much a capitalist and supporter of free enterprise

In hindsight that was pretty smart of him. If he hadn't it would all be blamed on him.
