Its called Socialism! You should read up on it. Sanders is a Socialist... he says so. His only redeeming quality is he at least admits it. End of story never going to be elected President and should not be taken serious. He was elected to the Senate by fewer people than some local politicians win local races.

Seems to me capitalism also has a few problems as ultimately a few people at the top end up with all the money. While i'm not a Communist or Socialist links like this make for some good reading http://isreview.org/issues/32/crisis_theory.shtml
and points out many of the points to ponder/shortfalls of capitalism.

Canada is always accused of being a "Socialistic Country "..Hummm well it seems with all our socialism..and helping those who can't help themselves mentality..and we ( Canada) went thru the very same recession you American's did..No? How come we could recover faster??

Again..How do you anti-socialism posters reconcile how such a Country could handle their Budget..and actually Balance their books within 6 years??? Amazing..Canada should never be compared to Greece..Our retirement age is 65..of course you can retire earlier with discount on payments...But still, the Continuous blaming socialism as some sort of evil ideation is making it sound hollow>the longer it goes on...IMO

Wasnt meant to be funny but merely point out that your claim that socialism never works doesnt mean that every aspect of socialism doesnt work and that Capitalism also has some inherent problems of its own.

Ok , great question, now listen up, I will help you understand. First you cannot compare a country with a population of fewer people than that of the state of California to the whole United States. Just isn't comparable.
Second, from your link... [I"]The government also pocketed billions from the sale of assets to live up to the promise it made during the 2011 election to balance the books. The government booked part of $4.2 billion from the recent sale of GM shares and $2.1 billion from the recent AWS-3 spectrum auction to get the numbers to work".[/i]
In other words while some would argue it was smoke and mirrors, Canada was actually going in the opposite direction that we were here, (liquidating government assets) .

Regarding the smoke and mirrors- also from your link...":As Sahir Khan, a University of Ottawa lecturer and former official at the Privy Council Office and Parliamentary Budget Office, said the government's 2015 budget is all about booking as much revenue as possible up front to balance the books, while kicking the spending can down the line."

Ohhh My...so liquidating assets is just what Socialistic Canada does?? Maybe you should really look into what the States ( 50 of them) and Federal Govnt has done to try and balance books...It's not unusual nor has anything to do with population..It has to do with trying to balance budget...

https://www.gsb.stanford.edu/sites/d...weber_2012.pdf

Above explains the consequences of selling assets BUT you will have to read it all to understand why it's done and the consequences of doing so..Enjoy

It happens in all economy's..Some Country's hand it better than others...BUT to suggest Greece is a prime example of Socialism..I Beg to Disagree!!
One example..Their ( Greece) retirement age is 45) so Living here in Canada..We have to work an extra 20 years..

Maybe Canada was just better at it..?

You are confused, but I don't want to take this thread any further off topic. Start one on the subject and I will attempt to help you through it the best I can.
