If Hillary Clinton wins the presidency in 2016 and is re-elected, do you see Democrats looking at New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand to run for president in 2024?

I think Gillibrand is one of the rising stars in the Democratic party and will run in the '20s. Also, I think Cory Booker and Julian Castro (we will see if Joaquin wants to run someday too).

I don't know much about her. Is she another corporatist Dem like Bill, Hillary and Obama? Or is she an authentic progressive like Sanders?

The D near future for POTUS is via the senate. Gavin Newsome I can see using a future CA governorship as a platform, but all of the D juice is in the senate.

Booker, Gillibrand, Klobuchar, Kaine, Bennet, Duckworth (will become next IL senator destroying Kirk), Kamala Harris (next CA senator), Chris Van Hollen (next MD Senator if he beats off a challenge from Edwards).

Castros will have to go from a VP position (neither will win senate or governorships in TX in the next 10-15 years).
