AMES, Iowa – Donald Trump ignited a political furor with his weekend comments about Sen. John McCain’s war record, but the first polling released since then shows no change in his standing.
One thing o keep in mind with this poll is the poll starts before his comments. The poll went from Thursday- Sunday, doesn't break down the amount per day. If it was 1/4 each day (which granted is far from known) probably 55-60% of the poll was done prior to his comments.
Bottom line: Americans are tired of illegal immigration and want it stopped. Romney would be president now if he had realized that and hadn't waffled.
I dearly hope that Trump is the Repubican nominee. And then ya'll will get to see just how your fantasies of a pro-wrestler candidate play out in the real world.
Trump is hated by the MSM, by the left, and even by the GOP establishment. In other words, he must be doing something right! I don't know if Trump is actually serious this time around or not, but if nothing else, it's so much fun watching the communists and leftist sycophants in our nation's media shrill whenever he refuses to kiss the ring.

The poll was taken Thursday to Sunday - Trump made his comments on Saturday - and Trump trails Walker by a big margin. The margin was bigger Saturday and Sunday after Trump's McCain comments.
Which is it - you guys want Trump to be the GOP candidate or you don't? You guys are all over the place.
I would laugh my ass off and love every minute if Trump was the GOP candidate. I don't see what that has to do with pointing out the fact most of this poll was taken prior to the flap with McCain over the weekend.
