Perry went postal on Trump today calling him a "barking carnival act" and (gasp!) questioning his religious convictions. The speech was too well crafted for Perry to have written it, but it will certainly bring out the best in Trump in the next day or so. I can hardly wait.
But in the meantime, what do you Trump supporters make of Trump's lack of religion? Can a godless man like Perry says Trump is get your votes?
He's not a Godly man, but when asked, he admitted it. He said he goes to church, he reads the Bible, but he has not asked Jesus for forgiveness. He knows he's a flawed man, and I can respect someone who's honest like that and it shows he's not pandering to the religious vote as Perry is trying to do.
The first think I thought when I saw Perry on TV recently in his glasses was that he put them on to try to look smart. The guy can't even remember his basic talking points when he's in a debate. Trump is spot on with with his character analysis of Perry: he's failed this country with his lax border patrol, and he's not even very smart.
