If the (D)'s allow it to happen.

I just know I can't stand Clinton or Bush. I want someone who is saying what he/she believes instead of what he/she thinks people want to hear. That basically leaves Sanders, Trump and maybe Paul.

I don't know anything about this but Rick Perry had this on his website:

"Gov. Perry has led the charge in making higher education more accessible and affordable for more Texans, challenging state colleges and universities to provide a $10,000 degree plan option. So far, 13 institutions have taken the governor’s challenge."

No.

The top 1% is everyone earning $250K / yr or more.

The middle class, depending on state, starts at around $40K /yr and tops out at around $150K.

The Walton family alone has more wealth than the bottom 42% of the American population.

Bernie really does mean "the rich".

And he's not a socialist. He's a social democrat. Learn the difference.

Equating higher education with a luxury car is a false premise.

In today's world access to higher education is becoming a basic human right. Many other civilized countries do it. It is even possible to get free college tuition at many European institutions without being a citizen of that country.

It's all a matter of what society's priorities are and the will to do the right thing.

It should be noted......few that do this offer it to everyone which means not even they consider it a right.

There is no tuition in Germany and Scandinavia. It's seen as a national investment, like infrastructure. Just like in America after the war when the government worked for the people to improve the quality of life for Americans.

I do not know about the Scandinavian countries but not everyone gets to go in Germany. You have to earn it, it's not just something you get.

What are the requirements? In Scandinavia, the grades from high school determine where you can study. But that's fair. I am pretty sure it is similar in Germany.
