We could do fine with Sanders as President as long as we keep a Repub House & Senate to make sure the Dems don't run steal the cookie jar to empty out to their voters until there's nothing left. If we had Dirty Harry and Neurotic Nancy still running the House and Senate with a 'true believer' in Socialism President, that would end the American Dream as a concept (I know Libs would be ecstatic). We could be just like Venezuela.

Or Germany, Norway, Sweden etc... where life expectancies is much higher, poverty is much lower, education is far superior.

That makes perfect sense. If you haven't listened to a single word he's said.

That interview highlighted why Sanders should be president and people like Bachmann and those who think like her should not. Notice how she refused, over and over, to stand by her own record of trying to cut social security.

Maybe if you find your position so indefensible that you won't even acknowledge holding it, it's time to re-evaluate.

You should try actually learning what he stands for and why it is that so many people are supporting him. By the way, I was at his Portland rally over the weekend and I can assure you it wasn't just a bunch of idealistic 20 year olds. It was a solid mix of everyone from college students to gray haired retirees and everything in between.

People are not backing Sanders because they've "given up." People are supporting Sanders because they think this country is on the wrong track and cannot succeed when we ship job oversees, gut retirement plans, offer no benefits to workers, slash incomes, and make it economically unfeasible to get an education.

Some of us think we succeed by trying to make everyone's lives better, not by engaging in some futile race to the bottom against southeast Asia or by trying to create a society of peasants who are ruled over by oligarchs.

Yeah, I have to question Bernie's judgment. Why debate a crazy, former IRS agent from MN? What's next, is Bernie going to have a debate with patients at Bellevue Hospital?

I don't need to be reminded of what I said. But you have not read my other posts, apparently.

I agree. I couldn't finish listening to it. That kind of 'debate' gives people headaches.
