Unless you are still 100% Native American, you came from an immigrant.

The issue isn't immigration. The issue is ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.
+1 But even Native Americans immigrated here from Siberia.

Democrats do NOT want an honest discussion of immigration.

"Donald Trump's Parents and Grandparents are Immigrants"

This is hilarious, we are dealing with folks that don't know the difference between illegal and legal immigrants. Here let me break it down for you: illegal = bad and legal = good. Legal immigrants are a desirable and fun group, illegals not so much.

Trump's Parents and Grandparents

His mother's family came to the US from Scotland for economic benefit.

Given the harsh economic realities of life in such isolated communities of subsistence farming and fishing, it is little wonder that numerous Lewismen (and women) emigrated as the land simply could not sustain the growing population. Clearly there was a better life for them in the new world.

So?

Surely you're not confusing immigrants with illegal aliens. Or are you?

BTW, most immigrants of yesterday came here for "economic benefit" in order to contribute to the country, and succeed. Also, they had to be able to support themselves.

So what?

My ancestors are from England, and at least one came over on the Mayflower.

Obviously his parents/grand parents made a smart move.
Not sure what the OP's point is, or what he's trying to prove.

Oh, please! Get a life. The GOP is saying nothing of the sort!

I'm not a huge fan of the guy, but the amount of traction on his one statement is ridiculous.

Clearly he means to restrict ILLEGAL immigration. He has since clarified. And he's 100% right. That's the kind of immigration that doesn't get us the best and brightest of the world's immigrants. In this day and age, that's what we need. Even "morally superior" Canada has way more restrictive immigration than we do, putting emphasis on education, language skills, demand, etc.

Every country in the world has immigration laws yet the US is expected to simultaneously be the safety valve for the world's poor AND be concerned about the increase in number of people who are poor and need assistance?

Typical Democrat duplicity.

The OP is trying to gin up hatred for the GOP based on the position of some on ILLEGAL immigration, and trying to imply that the GOP is against ALL immigration.

That's not completely self-serving? Not to mention hypocritical?
