Trump 44%, Biden 42%
Trump 44%, Gore 41%

You should note, however, 14% - 16% were undecided in these matchups.
Wrong message. All the Republicans are gaining on Clinton and Trump is not the best losing in a head to head with Clinton by a number of the others including Bush, Rubio, Paul and Walker.

The real message is that Clinton is having trouble with the email and such. That however may not last. But at the moment Clinton is sinking as a candidate.

That makes Trump look better but not as good as other Republican candidates.

You need a mountain of salt for this poll
That is curious, because Clinton got 91% of black votes in a head-to-head against Mr. Trump in the late August Quinnipiac national poll. She got the same number against Rubio and Jeb. Obama got 95 and 93% in 2008 and 2012, respectively.

This is just a bad poll, its that simple. Even the share of the vote in the demographics are wrong( age, gender and race).

they polled more older white men than in any election since at least 2000.

Maybe they got the contact information from the CD-POC moderators.

Frankly, I didn't know how to read those charts with race, age and gender. I'm not sure it says what we think it says. Shouldn't it total across 100% rather than up and down? For example, look at Gender. Clinton has 40% in a Trump/Clinton match up but she has 35% male and 45% female. Shouldn't the male/female percent for Clinton total 100%. You know, all of her 40% is either male or female so the two genders should total 100%.

Clinton's 40% is comprised of 35% of the male respondents and 45% of the female respondents. So, 35% of the males and 45% of the females support Hillary, but 40% of all respondents support Hillary. Since it's 50/50 male/female split for this survey, the numeric average of 35% and 45% is 40%.

The problem the (D)'s have here is absolutely no one is going to get excited to go out and vote for Hillary, Biden or Gore. There is a hard core segment that is excited to vote for Sanders but it probably is not enough. A large portion of those voters are likely going to stay home if it's anyone other than Sanders.

There would be a segment that came out to vote against someone like Bush or Cruz. Will people get to the point that they will come out just to vote against Trump? I dunno.

Ahh. How do you know what others feel?

In regards to the "long hard campaign" logic would say it will be those who are at the bottom of the heap that will have a hard time staying in the race. There is all indication that many many more will be coming TO Trump, not the other way around.

But you didn't respond to the entire post. Is that because you now face the very dilemma I pointed out?

Who, will you now support who isn't part of the "Go along to get along'' vile political system?
  • Bernie the Socialist? - He's been in congress for years. Pretends to be independent but plays Democrat for position & favors.
  • Carson? - His campaign dies in the must win for GOP SC primary.
  • King Hillary? - LOL!
  • It's JEB because Bush is a Bad Word? - See King Hillary
  • And The rest? - Who cares
Though you can prove me wrong and declare for a candidate and support them from now on. Maybe you already did. Maybe you never supported Trump in the first place and this is ploy to prove Trump won't last. If you really supported Trump, you'll be back.

Fascinating how a poll is declared wrong and invalid when it doesn't support what people want to believe.

The trend has been headed this way for a long time. I've said before the momentum becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. Furthermore, I've pointed out numerous times the DNC has a serious problem since it put all its eggs in the King Hillary basket. Her favorability poll has now dropped to its worse in 23 years.

Starting a political campaign with ratings like that, is a train train trip to the land of "not good".
