What is funny... Illegal alien parasites cannot vote, yet Jeb, Marco and 1/2 the field are pandering to get their vote.

Americans are turning to the conservative side of political values and teaching a man to fish. As the Progressive side of giving a man a fish, has become a total failure and ran out of fish....

That would certainly explain why the GOP has lost the popular vote in 5 of the last 6 Presidential elections, and the last two to the most left-wing candidate since LBJ.

It's not 1982 anymore.......

All right, how about this one: there was much complaining about Ferguson, MO's city council being mostly white. But the voter turnout in that town's previous election was like 15%. So I guess that's how a town that's 70% black ended up in the awful position of having a bunch of white devils on their city council.

There's a difference between the composition of off-year and Presidential year electorates in that off-year elections draw smaller crowds including larger numbers of older and whiter voters. The long term pattern for both is the same though with white voters shrinking as a percentage of the electorate in both presidential and non-presidential elections making depending virtually solely on white voters a losing strategy for the long term. While turnout has an impact, it's dwarfed by the impact of demographic change. As long as the GOP draws close to 90% of its total vote from white voters and minorities break about 4/1 for the Democrats, it's difficult to overcome that with the white percentage of total voters dropping 2% on average with every Presidential Election. You can only dip so much water out of a shrinking pool.

White % of voters by year:

2014- 75%
2012- 72%
2010- 77%
2008- 74%
2006- 79%
2004- 77%
2002- 81%
2000- 81%
1998- 82%
1996- 83%
1994- 86%
1992- 87%

Off -year only Presidential

2014- 75% 2012-72%
2010- 77% 2008-74%
2006- 79% 2004-77%
2002- 81% 2000-81%
1998- 83%. 1996-83%
1994- 86% 1992-87%

-1.8% ave. -2.5 average drop

Popular vote, Mr. Packard.

Conservatives in general need to pay better attention to math (as opposed to fear) if they want to win Presidential elections. Specifically math over time........

You would do well to shut off the AM radio for a few minutes as ponder Bureaucat's excellent post above - specifically this part......

Yeah, like I said, it's all about turnout. It seems that we agree.
And there's the fact the "white" and "hispanic" have serious overlap. For instance, Miami is listed as being both 73% white and 12% non-hispanic white. So how white is Miami, 73% or 12%? I'll leave that question to the more race/ethnicity obsessed among us, which seems to include you. And, as far as presidential elections go, Republicans candidates consistently win most of the least-white states. It makes me think that Democrats should try something, anything, besides this racial/ethnic stuff they've been pushing the past few years, but I don't see that happening.

12% but it doesn't matter for Trump. He is enemy #1 around there for his comments about Mexicans and speak English in America.

Now any other republican candidate can easily win Florida. Bush and Rubio will win Florida even if the run against Jesus Christ.
