Well, I understand your position. But no one believes that Trump is going to deport 11,000 immigrants either - OR build that wall. And if he does - what is the cost???? I'm afraid there are going to be some very disappointed people.

His speech last night was actually supposed to be a policy speech. Instead, he talked about himself. Par for the course.

I want to hear some real solutions coming out of his mouth. Eventually, he will have to present some solid facts and figures and exactly HOW he is going to accomplish all this. His 'I'll raise taxes on any company that goes out of the country" is a pipe dream unless he gets Congress to go along with it. I wonder if he knows that?
I think you meant 11 million+ illegal immigrants.

And yeah, I think many believe Trump will do so.

Regardless of who the next president is, many will be disappointed that he/she will not deliver on campaign promises, no different than those who came before. And sometimes it's because Congress, even when it's the presidents own party, fails go go along.

but none of the above really concerns me, I know this is incredibly and sickly selfish for me to say, but hopefully no one attacks me for being honest here.

However, like I posted earlier. I do believe strong middle class makes a strong America. And I am fully aware of the fact and the reasons why Bernie Sanders is appealing.

Ultimately, Sanders’ track record on his stated values is second to no other candidate. The question is whether he can actually make things happen. Raising taxes on the wealthy, raising minimum wage, free public college and single-payer healthcare systems would all require significant cooperation from what will likely be a Republican Congress, and Congress has rarely shown a willingness to cooperate with anyone.
How likely is any Congress to support any of Bernie's initiatives?

I am also a veteran, not a spouse, a veteran myself. I was in the Air Force with Viet Nam veterans and know some of the issues that they were facing at that time and I worked on an Army post as a civilian for 8 years. I support the health care for veterans. We do not use it ourselves. The one thing that angers me the most is that they say the care is there but it is not. They would better off getting false documents like the illegals and then they could qualify for health benefits, including mental health and prescription drugs without a charge.

I have a friend struggling with this right now. Each year her social security check goes up per month about 1/3 to 1/2 as much as the rate increase on her Medicare and associated stuff. I know she is already having trouble trying to keep her head above water. She worked hard in her life and now everyday she is wondering how she is going to make it.

Two of the groups listed here are veteran's groups: https://www.looktothestars.org/celebrity/donald-trump

The VA is in tragic shape. I still say that if you say a service is available and the taxpayers are paying for it, that it should be available no matter what it is. And, that a veteran or any other citizen should not have lesser benefits than an illegal immigrant with forged documents or their "anchor" babies not entitled to citizenship in the first place!
Great post!

Thank you for sharing!

And to add to your comment, Sanders will not stand up to the leaders like Putin, for example. Heck, he backed down when BLM took over his rally, he wouldn't say a peep if Iran threatened to nuke the U.S. and Israel.

/sorry to disagree with you, but people were very excited about jReagan. Do you remmeber the number of states he carried against a sitting President in 1980 and yes, they were very excited. You have forgotten this was prior to social media. BTW, your friends medicare payments haven't gone up in ages. Yes, our SS checks do not always cover the col. In fact they don't but Trump isn't going to change this and SS was never meant to be the only form of retirement. VA depends on where you live. Vets living here in NWA are very happy with their VA facility and the same was true when we lived in NM> Overall, it is in need of great repair, again do you really think he is going to make everything great just cause he says he will. When asked questions he usually answers with: I am going to announce my plan next week or take my word, I know how to do whatever.

Really? Maybe Trump will drunk tweet Putin like he did when Megyn Kelly made cheesed him off.

And Bernie was quite rude to a Fox News reporter that was in his face - IF you like that kind of thing.

FWIW, I thought Trump's childish reaction to Kelly was well, childish. And if you are equating Sanders being tough with a Fox reporter to a possible reaction toward Putin, well ok.
