TL;DR: The establishment candidates -- among whom I'd count Bush, Walker, and Rubio -- are doing much worse this time around. Bush and Walker, in particular, have revealed themselves to be surprisingly politically inept. At this point, figuratively speaking, Jeb!'s balls are sitting in a glass jar on the top floor of Trump Tower.

The problem is not with the candidates themselves. Paul, Bush, Cruz, and Huckabee are just fine as candidates. The problem is the GOP as whole. Their behavior in recent years is a real turn-off and people have simply had enough.

And? Most of the time, someone else writes every politician's lines -- the key is the delivery.
