A government shut-down will have the fingerprints both of Congress and the President on it.

That cannot be denied.

So just blaming Congress is silly.

But feel free to keep trying.

There's no doubt that you have the support of the lying liberal media.
Can't refute the fact that once the president vetoes a bill the next move belongs to Congress, so it would be they who make the choice to stop working and not the president. But with no facts on your side all you have left is to revert to empty talking points and childish insults. It's tough when you are shown to be wrong and have no response but to spout platitudes, isn't it?

The logic here is empty. You are exonerating the actions of one person while disregarding the desires of a majority of the population. You are correct about Congress ... but you omit the concept of the tyranny of the minority.

The majority of the population put Obama in office for a second term. They voted to give him the power of the presidential veto. And the majority of the population does not want the government to shut down over Planned Parenthood, so no tyranny of the minority there, either.

But it sure is funny to hear someone on the right decry the tyranny of the minority. That is exactly what the Tea Party faction in the House is.

The subject needs another thread ... acorn, votes counted overseas, et al.

A distortion ... the majority DOES want to defund PP. You libs are convoluting the issue.

Possibly, but not probably. What you said is the dream of the Libs. You throw in the Tea Party because you libs need a no-brainer chant. What's going on in Congress is a rebellion against RINO's. And you will find (but not admit to) that the majority of the House Republicans favor the conservative values the voted for when they elected their representatives.

Oh, there's a distortion all right, but it's all on your side:

"71 percent of adults say it is more important for Congress to approve a spending bill to keep the government open, compared to 22 percent who say it is more important to eliminate all federal funds for Planned Parenthood."

Poll: Public wants to avoid shutdown over Planned Parenthood | TheHill

See, the majority of Americans aren't in lockstep with Ted Cruz and the Tea Party nuts. You just don't want to face that reality. There is your tyranny of the minority.

A waste of time trying to get you to figure out The Majority wants PP defunded. It is the minority (of which you are one) who convolute the issue. O well.

Only if they can override the veto.

Or are you saying that the opposition party always has to agree with the president?

Why, yes, I think you are saying that.

Yadda, yadda, yadda.

You are the one who is full of falsehoods and insults.

You should say that to yourself in front of a mirror.

Then you would be telling the truth.

For once.

Elections have consequences, and President B. Hussein Obama no longer controls Congress.

Deal with it.

I know...it's tough.

If the government shuts down, it will be as much your hero "The Annointed One's" fault as it will be the fault of Congress.

It takes two to tango.

By the way, I really liked that tango in "True Lies."
