Upticks in select monthly data aside, we have not come close to breaking out, which is why the Fed left interest rates at zero yesterday.

We are doing marginally ok compared to other developed nations, that's it.

The long term trends are disturbing.

Trumpians 2016

The people had enough of this nonsense, our country is in a very serious way and something needs to give or the lid is going to blow off, we have decent, deceit, no accountability, no respect for our nations constitution , Americans are being pushed aside all around the world, people on the streets are flat out scared or very concerned on the direction our nation is taking and desperately want Leadership and a change for all and not some, people are concerned, worried about what's going to happen to our children and our grandchildren. Cops are being killed and leadership side with thugs, I can go on and on, but I won't like guys at the Fire House and the VFW say, the time is now for a lion who represents all the people and not just a few, taxpayers want our taxes to go to Americans, Not illegal criminals, on and on. And so, we had the Arab spring that our President thought was cute, the world is on fire.

On and on.

Steady job growth when much of the rest of the world is struggling is actually good.

We've created over 12 million jobs. HHI has begun moving up, albeit slowly.

No one said we're in paradise but the way fringe elements portray it you'd think we were in a downward spiral. Fears are always there and can be corrected.

Not when they suggest that middle class jobs have been eradicated and replaced with McJobs, possibly permanently.

Why do you think Clinton unveiled her cynical, hare-brained plan to "address" the wage gap, which a 5-year old could tell you is going to do nothing.

This may be one of the most laughable threads on this issue yet. Reading the leftist responses shows me that they are terrified they have no one who can stop Trump and that we are looking at a landslide Trump victory if he decides he truly wants to do this.

Cankles, old bald Bernie the Socialst Guy, or, best yet, Plagiarist Joe "Plugs" Biden?? Your leftists ought to start worrying about your own bench, it's pathetically weak.

I don't understand your post. Trump is pretty much a leftist. Why would anyone on the left be threatened by one of their own?

Lightbulb Is Trump Unstoppable?

Trump has made this the most entertaining campaign in memory. My hope is that he goes on to capture the GOP nod. But I seriously doubt the Republican establishment will allow that to happen. I have no idea how they'll shove him aside, but I feel that they will and probably before February.

It will be very interesting to see how they manage (or mismanage) this maneuver. They need to be very careful because it could seriously backfire.

It'll be tricky...

Contrary to what you read in Mother Jones, yes, the top finance people probably in average have close to genius IQs. It may make you feel more comfortable to believe otherwise. That doesn't make it true.
You saying something is probably so doesn't make it true either.

Yes, Trump's speech is crude -- it is also getting him the vast majority of votes, including the majority of people saying he won the debate.

Do you really think he is incapable of giving a more nuanced answer?

He graduated from Wharton Finance.

He is well aware that nuance doesn't sell.

Ted Kaczynski was accepted by Harvard at 16, earned an undergraduate degree there and a PhD in mathematics from Michigan. Should we just assume that intellect is of and by itself a guarantee that someone would make a good POTUS?

With household income moving up, it doesn't reflect your claim. We're still below pre-,recession levels in nominal income but if all these jobs were lower wage we'd be seeing that number decline, not rise or remain steady.
