One of the best positions-

NATIONAL RIGHT TO CARRY. The right of self-defense doesn’t stop at the end of your driveway. That’s why I have a concealed carry permit and why tens of millions of Americans do too. That permit should be valid in all 50 states. A driver’s license works in every state, so it’s common sense that a concealed carry permit should work in every state. If we can do that for driving – which is a privilege, not a right – then surely we can do that for concealed carry, which is a right, not a privilege.

????? Do you not normally read Candidates Websites? You statement is completely false. His position papers have actually been longer and more substantial than most Candidates.

The Almighty Ronald Reagan (*genuflect*) used to be a Democrat. If he can change his mind, why can't Donald Trump?

Adam Lanza did not present as dangerous until the day he went off. No one, including his mama, saw that one coming.

Bottom line: This is straight out of the NRA Handbook.

No surprise and no reasonable way to make a dent in the proliferation of guns in the US.
Obama Care? Obamacare Hasn't Propelled Mental Health Treatment - US News Sadly, to save taxpayers dollars, many of which will free up when we enforce our immigration law, in-patient care is severely limited anymore. They claimed it was wrong to protect people who couldn't protect themselves in the name of saving the insurance companies and taxpayers money. Many of the mentally ill do not belong in prison, that is not the answer. Much of the violence can be tamed with proper mental health treatment. 568,000 With Serious Mental Illnesses in States Without Expanded Medicaid

Hey, there we go! Another element on how enforcing our illegal immigration laws would have a positive effect on our country. Actually, since the illegals use false documents to get services along with the services their anchor babies get, that will free up a lot of the Medicaid dollars to spend helping our citizens get the treatment that they need and deserve! It will also free up Section 8 housing. Win-win-win.........

Not only is mental health no concern of the fed guv, there are absolutely no gun ownership laws required outside the second amendment. Trump is a garden variety statist.

On Trump's website there are two policies. More guns and no immigrants. Doesn't seem substantial to me. He reels off what he thinks and these are general opinions as usual. Nothing specific regarding accomplishing the goals. And frankly, the country has larger problems than not having enough guns out there or illegal immigration from Mexico that has become less every year since 2006.

When there are 16 candidates running from one party alone, it becomes tedious reading campaign websites of future campaign drop-outs.

There ya go. I had not considered that possibility.

The 11 million + illegals are entitled to due process, a hearing and an appeal. Where are you going to put 11 + million awaiting trial?

The private prison complex has got to love Trump.

..
Did you read your link? The ACA/ Obamacare made coverage for mental health and substance abuse the same as physical health. Mental health services are included in the ten essential services.

Not all states expanded Medicaid to make more people eligible for subsidized healthcare. SCOTUS determined federal law cannot trump state law in regards to Medicaid expansion. The number eligible could increase if more states expanded Medicaid. That's not going to happen.

No law can require an MD to accept private or public insurance. A substantial number of psychiatrists do not take public or private insurance and obviously don't need to do so to remain in business. Most psychiatrists manage the pharmacology and do not engage in one on one therapy.

Expansion of mental health requires public funding. Given the pushback on the ACA/ Obamacare, where exactly is that funding going to come from?

Trump talks about repealing Obamacare and replacing it with " something wonderful". It's been 5.5 years since the ACA became law. Thus far no alternative has gained any traction.
