lol if Marco Rubio is the nominee
you guarantee a Democrat victory

Rubio is a lightweight puppet of the neocons and corporate overlords.

^ This, it will be Trump, everyone needs to take their head out of the sand...

Have a feeling it's going to come out as such the election: Kaisch/Rubio; Hillary/Julian; Rand Paul/ Bernie Sanders; Trump/Alan

With GOP taking control shutting Trump out picking their own candidates and Trump running as a independent Republican party and then Rand will run as a third-party for Libertarians with Sanders joining him.
John Kasich is too moderate and bland for them. I like him but he'll never win, he's near the bottom. Plus, he wants to start cutting social security and told people to "deal with it". He'll never win, and older voters will support someone else.

Kasich and Webb are the only candidates who do not conform, more or less, to the platforms of their respective parties. Good or bad.

Rubio is all about privatizing prisons for profit. His biggest contributors make money off of increasing the number of prisoners incarcerated.

I don't think it will be Trump, but I kind of wish it would be. A large chunk of the Republican electorate believes they've been losing presidential elections because that candidates haven't been conservative enough or hardline enough. It's probably time to give them what they want. He's not truly conservative, but he sure is Anti-PC. Nominate him or someone like Cruz and get it over with. They when/if they lose the general election we can move on from this.

^^I would've said that's true if he ran 3 years ago. However, immigration is HUGE this cycle, especially with the GOP. Trump has a hardline stance with that. He's also anti-PC, which is another big thing, and very anti-establishment, which runs across the political spectrum. His blasting of media bias and weak candidates like Jeb! and Rubio resonates with the voters. He may say some things that are controversial, but he's also a genius with how to get attention. He wants to go after Wall Street elitists, and raise taxes on the rich while cutting them for everyone else, sometimes cutting them altogether. His strong positions on China and the Middle East and wanting to let Russia handle Syria also has snagged voters. He is probably the most brilliant person in our history to run a campaign for the presidency. And if he chooses Cruz for a running mate, or even Carson, then the "he's not a conservative" stuff will be put to rest.

meh

Peter Drucker, said it best more than 25 years ago:
"Charismatic leadership is non-leadership because the charisma of the leader blinds followers to the absence of substance in the leader's message. . .until it's too late."

The U.S. has been there, done that. Haven't we had enough of such amateurish, overwrought narcissism laced with blind ambition?

We have. This is why the career politicians are no longer in favor by most.
