This doesn't sound like a man who wants to win the Presidency. I've said before, if he is introduced to the DNC ticket, it will be as spoiler to insure that King Hillary is the one nominated.
I've also read that Obama encouraged O'Malley to run, so maybe his endorsement will prop him up in the race. The Obamas and Clintons are not generally on friendly terms.
Anytime you read a headline or listen to the pundits its always how close Joe is to deciding. A top aide met with him, his PAC is hiring people, a secret donor was overheard confirming his decision to run on Amtrak, blah, blah, blah...
Yet the man himself seems to have a polar opposite feeling. On Colbert he was doubting his emotional readiness, he keeps pushing back his decision deadline, he won't be in the first debate.
It seems to me as if "they" want Biden to run, yet Biden isn't prepared to jump in for another grueling election cycle at this fragile and late stage in his life.
This is beginning to remind me of Fred Thompson circa 2008. Biden clearly doesn't want to run. If he does, he will probably fall asleep during debates like Thompson did. Leave the poor guy alone.
He is waiting to see how Hillary does at her hearing later this month.
