Adlai Stevenson got trounced twice by Eisenhower. Eisenhower was immensely popular in spite of - or perhaps because of - his Operation W**Back, which removed illegal aliens out of the country to create job openings for returning servicemen. What a difference from what we have now - a bunch of candidates that puts the welfare of American citizens far behind illegals and their supporters.

Eisenhower was extremely popular because of his role in WWII.

Bernie is the DNC's Donald Trump. They have to take him down or face irreparable damage to the party's image.

The parties image? Gotta laugh. The Republicans have TRUMP who is a loud racist sexist BS artist, Bush - the name is poison to most, Huckabilly, Cruz, Rubio, Carson and Fiorino - and you think that the Democrats have to worry about Bernie Sanders, a seasoned scandal free statesmen doing irreparable damage to the party?

That's a joke. The Republican party is imploding. Your candidates are week - or crazy and fanatical.

Worry about the image of your own party. Please. Because, I sense that the party is over. Nice run, though.

Bernie isn't crazy or fanatical? He's like Jim Jones, and his followers are like, well, I think you can guess.

Hmmm, maybe because (1) he is not a front runner at this moment, (2) he is an Independent, and (3) he is a self-admitted Democratic Socialist with low electability in the general election?

Mick
You forgot the 4th one.......He doesn't, or should I say, it appears he doesn't take bribes from special interest groups such as Wall Street etc...in which Trump supporters take notice of.

Not true. There where 4 million slaves in the south during the Civil War. Is that embracing free-enterprise and capitalism? During the American Revolution 2/3 of southern slaves beat it, while wealthy land owners sent many people on manhunts for said slaves (a very lucrative and extremely organized business of hunting down slaves) who agreed with Patrick Henry (give me liberty or give me death (in which several of his slaves agreed and hit the road). Many of those wealthy slave owners so called free trade folks signed our constitution. Many of those formal slaves either were recaptured, caught and resold, fled to England after service in the British military, Canada, and Sierra leone or died of starvation and disease.

Make no mistake, there were many people in high places who deplored the slave trade, both in the US/colonies and Europe who were fighting like hell to rid the business of slavery. So goes the argument of- it was a product of the times.

Bernie is great for drawing Clinton farther to the left of where she is now.

But Bernie will never make it to the General Election.

Bernie is quite light on foreign policy - unlike Clinton.

Read an article the other day - sorry the citation escapes me - but it was one of his staffers saying how difficult he was to work for.

Bernie will never have support in the southern states. Hillary has adopted Obama's OFA machine and is out-organizing pretty much everyone - even the Republicans.

The Republicans will probably implode before November 2016.

Say hello to the New Boss!

Just one problem with your theory. Hillary can't even fill a room with people. Even Obama did better than that. If you want to make King Hillary your Boss that's fine. But the vast majority of America laughs at this.

When did people start voting at political rallies? Hillary doesn't need to fill rooms. Most voters will never attend a political rally. All that matters is what happens in the voting booth.

We all know Trump is a neophyte to the political scene but if he thinks like his supporters......Whoa! He needs to hire a team of people who know what they're doing.
