The idea that the Baltic States joined NATO "a little late". As anyone but Ben Carson knows, they were under Soviet occupation during the Cold War and had absolutely no freedom to leave the Warsaw Pact, much less join NATO. The wall fell and the Baltic States joined NATO at their very earliest opportunity.

Trust me, no one here considers you a revolutionary either. I think you misconstrued the Onion comment, and frankly, that makes it even funnier. And even more on target.
