...for a book tour. You won't see him again until the CNBC debate on October 28.

What do you think of this? He's doing it, he says, so book tour finance and campaign finance aren't co-mingled but at this point in time, when he so close to Trump nationally, isn't this an odd time to do a book tour?

Very strange, but this is Trump's chance to expand the lead. Trump should use this opportunity to remind voters how committed he is, and that he's in it to win it. Perfect oppurtunity to attack. It doesn't look good for Carson IMO.

Yeah, not good. You don’t want to disappear although he could still make “crazy” comments, according to some.

Very unconventional, but then again he is a very unconventional candidate. I don't know why he would do this now since his campaign is really picking up steam in the last few weeks. I wouldn't be shocked if Rand Paul and Bobby Jindal took months or even years off the campaign for a book tour, however.

It might be a very good move. Book sales get his message out and in the hands of a lot of people, and is "self funding". Lots cheaper than many advertising options. The more Trump talks the worse he makes himself look.

not really. Usually the only people who buy someones book, are their supporters.. Rarely do people spend money, to find out about a candidate.

Worst move ever possible. He'll never recover unless Trump blows it big time.

Also because he has already written 8 books! Eight.

Didn't McCain do put his on hold too in 2008? Hurt him quite a bit.

Totally agree and if true, this is the end of Carson's run. Too bad, I had high hopes for him, but now it's Trump, full bore straight ahead!
