...don't qualify for the first tier (must have 3% or more) in the CNBC debate, do you expect them to participate in the second tier debate or just opt out rather than take the downgrade to the second tier publicly? Or, do you expect them to drop out of the race?
This isn't a question about what you want to happen but what you think they will do. What would you do if you qualified for the first tier for both the Fox debate and the CNN debate but don't qualify for the first tier in the CNBC debate?
I think they'll stay in if they are still being funded. I think some of them probably showcase themselves for the future even though they know they won't go anywhere this time. Others are speaking for a "cause" I think. I am sure some must have known that they would not be the nominee when they started unless they are really clueless.
Some are still looking for funds, some are looking for jobs in the next administration, some never thought they'd have a chance and still don't but wanted to throw their political ideology out there....btw, Trump was a bottom feeder in 2000 when ran for Potus.
I think if they get a downgrade they won't debate. Too publicly humiliating and sure to label them as having one foot in the grave, candidacy-speaking. You just know it would be a big media topic of discussion not just a one day problem.
