Who the losing candidates support won't count for much this election. Trump getting as far as he has is plenty of proof of that fact. The same goes with Sanders.
They all took the non- binding pledge to support the GOP nominee.
I know Trump vowed he would vote for the Republican candidate if he didn't get the nomination, but if that's true, what is this talk about him running as a third-party candidate? I know he's used to having things both ways, but how does this work?
Vote for and support are not the same thing, in my opinion. No one knows who you vote for but support means you go out there and actually speak positively about the candidate publicly and at the convention. Maybe even raise money for them.
