It makes perfect sense that ancient Egyptians would spend 20 years building a structure just to store grain. Carson's logical thinking is right in line with the thought process of most conservatives so it's probably going to win him some more votes.

Your post is totally ignorant of the facts of our anemic recovery. 2 to 2.5% growth is not good growth.

The Federal Reserves free money policy is what has driven the little recovery we have had. Yes, job growth has been good the last year or so, by only looking at the headline numbers. The jobs however have poor quality, low hours mostly poor paying, which are the most important indicators to see. The stock market has gone great, straight up more or less. Why? Cheap to free money. Again courtesy of the Federal Reserve. That is monetary policy.

What Mr Obama and the Congress have not done is their job on the fiscal policy side.

Please, for your own sake, know the difference between monetary and fiscal policy and actions. What's the difference between monetary policy and fiscal policy?

What's wrong with Carson?

He is against the social safety net, which includes Medicare and Social Security. He's against programs that help the needy. He proposed a tax-plan that if implemented would lower taxes for the rich, raise them for everyone else and still blow a trillion dollar hole in the budget.

That should be enough to disqualify him.

Makes sense. Conservatives make up their own reality so why shouldn't they make up their own ancient history?

He discusses his plan: Wallace Presses Carson: Are You Proposing That We End Medicare? | Fox News Insider He is not against programs to help the needy, many of those needy want a hand up, a job, not a handout like the Democrats have been giving them. Democrats like keep the poor dependent and on the public assistance teat. This is not what he is saying.

Ah, the lies about Dr. Carson: National Review's Debunked 'Bald-Faced Lies' Charge Against Dr. Ben Carson Diminishes Venerable Publication's 60th Anniversary - Breitbart I'm not that familiar with the National Review but do they have problems with just GOP candidates or just black conservatives?

Again, if you only read the headlines of an article from your favorite liberal and/or racist media sources, you just don't get the whole story.

As we all know, Carson is highly educated and intelligent and anyone says otherwise is so clueless everything they say should be discounted as of no value. http://www.biography.com/people/ben-carson-475422

Nope. To be fair, he will not have broad appeal in a general election and you surely must know that. He definitely appeals to right wing evangelicals but his appeal will stop there.

The majority of voters will look for a politician somewhere in the middle between Bernie and Ben.

And how did putting Obama in office twice help us out, folks? Hillary is just gonna be a continuation. Leverage our votes, get into office, screw minorities. What's wrong with Carson?
What qualifications does Carson have, what background does he have that would make him a great politician, what other than his medical background makes him stand above any of the others? The guy does not seem to know much and when he claims to knows something he is often wrong. No thanks I will pass, he may come across as a nice guy but that does not qualify him for the oval office. There are better choices than Carson, maybe he would be better served if he ran for a lower office first so that we know he stand on issues and he has a track record to look at, starting out as CEO of the Nation is not how it should be done.
