Prove it. There is not one bible verse that says that Joseph built the pyramids to store grain, AND the structure of the pyramids would be the worst possible grain storage layout that would be a huge waste of materials and time to build for the tiny amount of storage space, AND Egypt already had grain storage buildings.

...

Carson did not say he had a letter of acceptance in his hand, he made is very clear that his "offer" came in the form of a conversation with a General at a banquet.
if you read what he wrote it isn't that clear. here's the exact quote from "gifted hands":

"More exciting to me, General William Westmoreland (very prominent in the Viet Nam war) attended with an impressive entourage. Afterward, Sgt. Hunt introduced me to General Westmoreland, and I had dinner with him and the Congressional Medal winners. Later I was offered a full scholarship to West Point.

and from "you have a brain":

“That position allowed me the chance to meet four-star general William Westmoreland, who had commanded all American forces in Vietnam before being promoted to Army Chief of Staff at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. I also represented the Junior ROTC at a dinner for Congressional Medal of Honor winners, marched at the front of Detroit’s Memorial Day parade as head of an ROTC contingent, and was offered a full scholarship to West Point.

the implication, to me, is that westmoreland made the offer but neither excerpt directly states that. possibly for good reason, westmoreland's schedule shows he wasn't in detroit on memorial day:

http://www.politico.com/f/?id=000001...a-dff72c1f0000

here's the response from carson's campaign:

“Dr. Carson was the top ROTC student in the City of Detroit. In that role he was invited to meet General Westmoreland. He believes it was at a banquet. He can’t remember with specificity their brief conversation but it centered around Dr. Carson’s performance as ROTC City Executive Officer. He was introduced to folks from West Point by his ROTC Supervisors. They told him they could help him get an appointment based on his grades and performance in ROTC. He considered it but in the end did not seek admission.”

this quote suggests it was "folks from West Point ", not westmoreland, who offered to "help him get an appointment".

so, even assuming that carson did meet westmoreland ( on some other day then he claims ) the "offer of a full scholarship" is an embellishment of an offer to "help him get an appointment".

When you are offered to attend West Point free , that is a scholarship..Ben Carson never applied... he was offered to apply for a scholarship... West Point has scholarships. Ben Carson is honest. He went to Yale. Smart move.

He wasn't offered to apply for a scholarship....that doesn't even make sense. EVERYONE can apply.

"he was offered to apply for a scholarship". That is like a credit card "you are eligible to apply" application (* pending credit review)

being "offered a scholarship" is an embellishment ( at best ) of being "offered to apply for a scholarship".

Since Ben Carson did indeed go higher (no offense to all the very-accomplished West Point graduates out there), why did he feel the need to write in his book that he was offered a full scholarship to West Point, when he was not?
