WTF are you talking about? The media went after Obama HARD!!! Were you living under a boulder? Headlines about his radical pastor, madrassa, his auto bio, his Kenyan roots, his Chicago days, etc were plastered all over. You literally would have to live underground with no TV or Internet to avoid seeing them.
The difference is that Obama always managed to hit back with solid explanations soon after the media delivered the blow. Sometimes the very same day he'd have a speech/press conference to address the issue. So the "hits" could never linger. It points to a very efficient campaign.
Every front-runner have to go thru this. If Carson can't deal with something this small, he has no business being a president.

Don't forget all the stories about Obama's mother, father, grandmother, prom date, friends in high school, friends in college, his half sister, his Kenyan relatives. They haven't even touched Carson's associates yet.
